Cover People are seeking dedicated Secondary Supply Teachers to join our Stockport team and support local schools. You’ll cover day-to-day bookings or short-term placements with the flexibility to fit around other commitments.

Whether you’re an experienced teacher or an ECT, we tailor assignments to your subject expertise and availability. You’ll adapt quickly to different schools, follow lesson plans, and promote positive pupil engagement while safeguarding and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• QTS or recognised equivalent.
• Experience teaching within a secondary school environment.
• Ability to adapt to different schools and groups of pupils.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging and challenging lessons across the secondary age range.
• Follow lesson plans, curriculum requirements and school procedures.
• Establish clear expectations and maintain classroom discipline.
• Adapt quickly to different schools, departments and groups of pupils.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage students to participate in learning.
• Liaise professionally with school staff and provide feedback after lessons.
