Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking a General Science Teacher for flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately. These roles support pupils across different secondary settings in Felxistowe and surrounding areas, delivering high-quality learning across the Science curriculum.

You will join a safeguarding-conscious recruitment agency, with strong DBS and reference checks, and become part of a supportive science department in active placements.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent is required.
• Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• Ability to motivate and inspire learners across year groups and manage behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics following provided plans.
• Teach practical and theory-based content safely and effectively.
• Support students in developing scientific understanding and investigative skills.
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Assess and record pupil progress when required.
• Adapt teaching strategies to support learners with a range of needs.
• Contribute to department planning during longer-term placements.
