Job summary

Randstad Education in Bristol is recruiting General Cover Teachers (QTS) to support secondary schools across the area. The role offers true flexibility, teaching across subjects and year groups with no after-hours work.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required (ECTs welcome). You will work on pre-planned lessons, maintain discipline, and leave handovers for continuity. DBS update service is expected or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent (ECTs welcome).
• Strong classroom management and professional approach.
• Reliable and punctual with 8:30 AM start.
• Enhanced DBS update service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across secondary KS3/KS4.
• Manage classroom behaviour to create a positive learning environment.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.
• Leave detailed handovers for returning subject teachers.
