Job summary

Teach South is seeking Science teachers for flexible supply work in Hastings and surrounding areas. Roles include occasional supply days as well as regular or longer-term placements, with opportunities across KS3/KS4 and GCSE delivery.

Candidates with QTS or relevant experience, strong subject knowledge, and reliable, flexible approach are encouraged to apply. Roles span daily and longer-term engagements in multiple local schools.

Qualifications

• QTS or relevant teaching experience.
• Secondary Science teaching experience.
• Confidence teaching to GCSE.
• Good classroom management.
• The ability to engage and motivate students.
• Reliability and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4.
• Delivering practical and theory-based lessons.
• Teaching GCSE Science where required.
• Following existing schemes of work.
• Planning lessons for longer-term placements.
• Monitoring and assessing student progress.
• Creating a positive and engaging classroom environment.
• Managing behaviour effectively.
