Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Relief Security Officer to cover the Southampton, Totton and Hedge End areas. The role requires a professional, reliable, and flexible individual who can work across a variety of shifts and locations, with access to a vehicle and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision - CCTV PSS preferred)
• Previous security experience (retail security experience is an advantage)
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• Strong communication skills and a calm, confident approach under pressure
• Flexibility to cover days, nights, weekends, and public holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible and vigilant security presence across various client sites
• Follow site-specific Assignment Instructions (AI's) and ensure full compliance
• Maintain a high standard of personal and professional conduct
• Ensure the safety of the public and staff by proactively monitoring for risks and hazards
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and effectively
• Accurately document incidents and ensure all reporting procedures are followed
• Make timely check calls and emergency contacts as required
• Attend and complete all required training and development programmes
