Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support pupils in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Merthyr Tydfil and Caerphilly. Roles available full-time, part-time or flexible to fit your schedule, with ALN support where needed.

Successful candidates will assist with lessons, provide one-to-one or small-group support, and help create an inclusive learning environment across primary settings.

Qualifications

• Patient, caring and understanding of children's individual needs.
• Flexible, reliable and confident working in different classroom settings.
• A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Experience working with primary-aged pupils or within an educational environment is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to pupils across the primary age range, including those with ALN such as ASD, ADHD, or speech and language needs.
• Assist class teachers in delivering engaging, accessible lessons and classroom activities.
• Offer one-to-one and small-group support to promote confidence, independence and key learning skills.
• Encourage positive behaviour and contribute to an inclusive, nurturing learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, ALNCos/SENCOs and wider support staff to meet individual learning needs.
