Job summary

Academics is seeking experienced Teaching Assistants to support pupils across welcoming primary schools in the Great Sankey and wider Warrington area. The role offers flexible day-to-day supply work with potential short-term and longer-term placements.

Responsibilities include assisting teachers with engaging activities, supporting learning, and adapting to different year groups and school environments. DBS checks are preferred or applicants willing to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred.
• Experience in a primary school or education setting.
• Enhanced DBS for child workforce or willingness to obtain one.
• Confident, reliable and adaptable.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
• Flexible and available for day-to-day supply work.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging classroom activities
• Providing additional support to pupils with their learning and development
• Working across different year groups and primary school settings
• Supporting pupils both within the classroom and in smaller groups where required
• Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Adapting to different school environments and classroom needs
• Opportunities for day-to-day, short-term and longer-term assignments
