Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant (TA) to work near Loddon and surrounding areas. You will assist class teachers, support small groups, and provide 1:1 help to pupils across EYFS to Key Stage 2.

We welcome applicants with Level 2/3 certificates or substantial experience in educational settings. DBS checks are a requirement, and you will be supported by a local Randstad consultant to fit your schedule.

Qualifications

• Patient, encouraging and empathetic nature with strong communication skills.
• Foundational knowledge of early reading, phonics, and primary-age development.
• Willingness to undertake DBS and safeguarding checks as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Support class teachers with daily classroom setup, activity preparation and maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment.
• Work with individual pupils or small groups to boost confidence and understanding in core areas such as reading and writing.
• Provide 1:1 support for children with SEN, including those with ASC, ADHD, or speech and language challenges.
