Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking a Supply Teaching Assistant to support primary pupils in Cotgrave (NG12). Roles involve assisting KS1 and KS2 classes with general classroom tasks, plus one-to-one or small-group support. The team prioritises reliability and a proactive, confident approach to behaviour management.

Assignments run 1–5 days per week, starting ASAP. The candidate should be flexible and engaged, with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.

Qualifications

• Experience with children aged 4-11 in UK primary schools.
• Good communication and behaviour management skills.
• Understanding of classroom routines and the primary curriculum.
• Knowledge of Phonics and Read, Write Inc. is desirable.
• Organised, adaptable and enthusiastic.
• Must hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classes with general classroom assistance.
• Provide one-to-one or small group support as needed.
• Assist with managing behaviour and maintaining positive learning environments.
