Job summary

Teaching Personnel is actively seeking Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and Fully Qualified Teachers (QTS) to support primary schools across Rossendale and Rochdale. The role offers flexible supply work including full-day, half-day, pre-booked, or same-day assignments.

As a Supply Teacher, you will cover local primary schools, delivering lessons, managing behaviour, and adapting to different year groups. Calls from 7:00am for same-day cover are common, with rates from £120 per day depending on

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) with suitable qualifications.
• Availability for flexible supply assignments and various schools.
• Willingness to work full-day, half-day, and same-day assignments.

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans and resources provided by the class teacher.
• Deliver engaging and effective lessons.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Adapt to different schools, year groups and classroom settings.
• Occasionally plan and deliver lessons at short notice.
• Complete both full-day and half-day assignments.
• Be available for same-day supply opportunities, as well as pre-booked work.
