Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking enthusiastic Primary Supply Teachers to support schools across Nottingham and the surrounding areas. Join a network of outstanding primary schools with supportive leadership, great facilities and flexible day-to-day cover, including longer-term placements across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

Deliver engaging lessons, follow UK curriculum, and adapt quickly to different schools while maintaining positive behaviour and inclusive classrooms.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Enhanced DBS check uploaded to the Update Service is required.
• Experience teaching the UK primary curriculum is essential.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills are essential.
• Understanding of safeguarding requirements and allergy safety protocols is expected.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different schools and year groups.
• Creative, enthusiastic and professional approach with excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the UK curriculum.
• Provide flexible cover across KS1 or KS2.
• Follow lesson plans to maintain continuity of learning.
• Manage classroom behaviour positively and effectively.
• Differentiate activities to support varied pupil needs.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and school staff.
• Create a safe, inclusive and encouraging classroom environment.
• Adhere to safeguarding, medical and allergy procedures.
