Job summary

Cover People are seeking Primary Supply Teachers for Stockport roles, offering flexible day-to-day work and short-term bookings across local primary schools.

You will deliver lessons per school plans, establish positive relationships with pupils, and maintain a focused learning environment during a day’s timetable.

Applicants should hold QTS with recent UK primary experience and be comfortable working with different year groups; safeguarding checks apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS and have recent UK primary school experience.
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for a class during the school day.
• Deliver lessons in line with school plans and curriculum.
• Create a positive, well-managed learning environment.
• Support pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
• Manage behaviour according to school procedures.
• Work with teaching assistants and other staff.
• Leave feedback for the class teacher where appropriate.
• Ensure pupils remain engaged and make use of lesson time.
