Job summary

Locums First in Crossgates is seeking a Locum Healthcare Assistant to support clinical teams across primary care settings, including community clinics and GP surgeries. This opportunity offers sessional work with the flexibility to choose shifts that align with experience and weekly availability.

You will play an important role in supporting patient assessments, carrying out routine clinical procedures and helping maintain an efficient clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working as an HCA in primary care, community or NHS settings.
• Phlebotomy skills beneficial.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conducting basic patient observations including BP, pulse and temperature
• Supporting routine treatment room procedures
• Carrying out ECGs and basic health checks
• Performing phlebotomy if trained
• Assisting with patient education and lifestyle advice
• Updating clinical notes accurately in service systems
• Providing general clinical support to nurses and GPs
