Job summary

Angard Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting for Royal Mail in Newport as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine and helping keep people connected.

The role combines driving a Royal Mail van with on-foot deliveries, requiring fitness and resilience. A full UK driving licence with up to six points is needed, and you may be asked to pass a driving assessment before starting.

Qualifications

• Full, UK driving licence with up to 6 points.
• Ability to walk long distances (up to 20,000 steps per day) and lift a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Flexible shifts and ability to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across your delivery area, in all weather.
• Drive a Royal Mail van and deliver items safely to customers.
• Handle and deliver election materials and other restricted items per policy.
