Job summary

Lancashire Independent Living Service is seeking a compassionate Personal Assistant to support a local lady in the Preston area at home and in the community. You will help with shopping, laundry and everyday domestic tasks, and accompany her to appointments when needed.

Flexibility is key as health and mobility can vary daily. A patient, reliable approach and clear communication are essential, with the potential for personal care prompts once trust is established.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable adults is preferred but not required.
• Comfortable working in a smoking environment.
• Good communication and patience essential.
• Full, clean driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide home help with shopping, laundry, and domestic tasks.
• Collect medications and accompany to medical appointments.
• Support with arranging social activities and community engagement.
• Assist with basic personal care prompts as trust is established.
