Job summary

UKCIL Ltd. is seeking a compassionate Personal Assistant to support a 19-year-old young woman in Leeds (LS25). The role offers flexible hours across weekdays, evenings, and weekends, with potential increased hours during college holidays.

You will work with a family member to provide safe, person-centred care and help her remain active and independent. Training is provided for all care activities including medication administration, feeding via gastrostomy, and moving & handling.

Qualifications

• Aged 18 years or over.
• Willing to undertake all required training.
• Prepared to complete an Enhanced DBS check (fully funded).
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Experience in care is welcome but not essential; attitude and willingness to learn matter.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: bathing, dressing, toileting, skincare, hair and make-up.
• Assist with feeding.
• Administer medications and hydration via gastrostomy (full training).
• Safe moving and handling (full training).
• Support attendance at college, community activities and appointments.
• Encourage independence, choice and participation in daily life.
• Work with family to follow care plans.
