Job summary

Purple DPSS is seeking a Personal Assistant/Support Worker to provide one-to-one support for M, a non-verbal child with autism, in Cambridge. You will assist with daily personal care, dressing, hygiene and accompany him on community outings using a specialist buggy. The role requires patience, understanding and a commitment to safeguarding.

Hours: 113 hours at £15 per hour; part-time, on-site location in Cambridge CB5 area. DBS check and right to work references are required.

Qualifications

• Provide one-to-one support for daily activities, personal care and wellbeing.
• Assist with nappies, dressing and changing clothes to keep the child clean and comfortable.
• Maintain close supervision, especially when out in public, and ensure safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support for M's daily activities, personal care and community outings while promoting wellbeing and independence.
• Support M with nappy changes, dressing and changing clothes when required, ensuring cleanliness and comfort.
• Accompany M on outings using his specialist buggy and maintain safety in public spaces.
