Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting for a Nursery Practitioner in Birkenhead in a flexible, part-time capacity. You will work with children from six months to five years, supporting care, learning and development throughout the nursery day.

Key duties include activities, play-based learning, and observations. The role requires Level 2/3 childcare qualification and a caring, patient approach with good teamwork and communication.

Qualifications

• Qualified nursery practitioner with Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Early Years.
• Experience with nursery, preschool or early years settings.
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework.

Responsibilities

• Plan and set up age-appropriate activities.
• Support learning through play and child-led exploration.
• Record developmental progress and observations.
• Support children's personal care and daily routines.
• Foster positive relationships with children and families.
• Maintain a clean, safe nursery environment.
• Communicate updates to parents and carers.
