Job summary

Reed is seeking an experienced Management Accountant for a part-time role in Epsom. The successful candidate will prepare monthly management accounts, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide commercial insights to improve performance.

AAT, part-qualified or full qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent) with strong Excel and accounting systems experience is required. The role offers flexible hours, a pro rata salary range of £40,000–£50,000 FTE, and opportunities to influence strategic

Qualifications

• AAT or equivalent qualification or professional accountancy study (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent).
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication of financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Produce variance analysis and commentary on performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain accurate records.
• Monitor KPIs and identify trends to drive decision-making.
• Assist with year-end preparations and liaise with accountants/auditors.
• Support payroll, VAT returns and statutory reporting when required.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Improve financial processes and controls for efficiency.
