Job summary

Trial Balance is seeking a Part-time Bookkeeper on a contract-to-perm basis in Helston, United Kingdom. You will handle the full accounting cycle across multiple income streams, including ledgers, payroll, VAT/CIS, and month-end reporting.

The role requires effective liaison with operational staff in a friendly hospitality business with on-site parking. The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified or have equivalent hands-on experience, with familiarity in Sage or Xero; knowledge of system

Qualifications

• Experience as a professional bookkeeper in hospitality.
• Proficiency with Sage and/or Xero is preferred.
• Ability to manage the full accounting cycle and liaise with staff.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of the whole accounting process for the company’s income sources.
• Oversee sales and purchase ledgers.
• Prepare draft year-end accounts.
• Manage payroll and pensions administration.
• Prepare VAT and CIS returns.
• Produce meaningful month-end management accounts.
• Collaborate with operational staff as part of a team.
