Qualifications

• Paediatric nursing degree required.
• NMC registration up to date.
• At least 6 months' paid paediatric hospital experience within the last 3 years.
• 1 year as a paediatric nurse.
• Additional certifications depending on Trust.
• Driving licence (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the paediatric lead.
• Discuss the care and condition of paediatric patients with families and carers.
• Make sound decisions in changing clinical situations, using analytical judgement.
• Check and use specialised equipment such as monitors and ventilators.
• Experience across different wards to keep skills current.
