Job summary

Locum Ready in Camelford is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for flexible sessional work across primary care settings. The role centres on autonomous minor illness assessments and routine primary care duties within well-supported GP clinics.

You will support local primary care teams by managing acute presentations, performing routine assessments and contributing to daily clinical operations. Flexible shifts include weekday, evening, or weekend sessions.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with autonomous practice experience.
• Minor illness assessment and routine primary care duties.
• Familiarity with EMIS Web or SystmOne and enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Running autonomous NP-led clinics within primary care settings.
• Managing minor illness and undifferentiated presentations.
• Conducting face-to-face and telephone triage.
• Prescribing safely within scope of practice (if qualified).
• Completing clinical follow-up actions including results and medication queries.
• Maintaining accurate digital clinical documentation.
