Job summary

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is advertising a Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The post is a 10 PA substantive appointment with a joint 50/50 arrangement with The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.

Employment will be with STH NHS Foundation Trust under the national consultant contract. Applicants across the full spectrum of experience are welcome and will join a teaching hospital environment with a comprehensive OMFS service, including trauma and skilled regional

Qualifications

• GMC registration with licence to practise.
• GDC registration.
• Specialist Register in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (or eligible within 6 months).
• MD or PhD or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive, effective Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery service.
• Cover for colleagues during planned and unexpected absences.
• Work with regional colleagues to develop trauma/orthognathic services.
• Contribute to the draft weekly job plan and operate under the national consultant contract.
