Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery to support orthognathic and routine oral surgery across its sites, including QEH, City Hospital and Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

The role involves attending monthly multidisciplinary orthognathic clinics, participating in the on-call rota (1:13 weeks) and contributing to the regional cancer, trauma and craniofacial services.

Qualifications

• Requirement: Dental degree, medical degree and GMC specialist registration in OMFS.
• UK NHS experience preferred.
• Fellowship training in OMFS paediatric and craniofacial surgery.
• Certificate of Sponsorship and Skilled Worker sponsorship considerations.
• UK visa and criminal records checks as per NHS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Run clinics and theatres at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, City Hospital and Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
• Support the orthognathic surgery service and routine oral surgery at City Hospital.
• Attend multidisciplinary orthognathic clinics at Birmingham Dental Hospital & Good Hope Hospital monthly.
• Fulfill on-call emergency rota of 1:13 weeks.
