Job summary

Spire Nottingham Hospital is seeking an experienced MSK Physiotherapist to join the Physiotherapy Department on a flexible bank basis. The role covers inpatient and outpatient orthopaedic patients, supporting post-operative rehabilitation and safe discharge planning.

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload, work autonomously in a ward setting, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centred care.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Physiotherapist (BSc Hons or equivalent) with HCPC registration.
• ,
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient physiotherapy in NHS, acute or private hospital settings.
• Experience managing orthopaedic, surgical and post-operative patients.
• Ability to work autonomously within a ward environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality physiotherapy assessment, treatment and advice to predominantly inpatient and post-operative orthopaedic patients.
• Manage own clinical caseload as an autonomous practitioner.
• Assess and mobilise patients following orthopaedic and surgical procedures.
• Support safe discharge planning and rehabilitation programmes.
• Work closely within a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.
• Provide physiotherapy support to outpatient services where required.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in line with professional standards.
• Contribute to the delivery of a safe, effective and patient-focused physiotherapy service.
