Job summary

Locum Ready offers flexible locum practice nurse opportunities across primary care in Ventnor and surrounding areas. The role covers treatment room duties, chronic disease management, and preventative health clinics within well-structured clinics.

You will support multiple primary care teams through routine procedures, long-term condition reviews, and general nursing tasks, with clear protocols and strong supervision. Training in immunisations is beneficial and DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation training or cytology training is beneficial.
• Confident in routine nursing tasks and treatment room clinics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver treatment room clinics including wound care and dressings.
• Support chronic disease management within established care plans.
• Carry out immunisations for adults and children (if trained).
• Undertaking smear tests where cytology-trained.
• Perform NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Record accurate clinical notes for each service.
• Assist with general nursing duties as required.
