Job summary

Staff Partners Business is seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join a friendly GP Practice in North Shields on a temporary basis. The role offers flexible, part-time shifts and competitive pay.

You will work with the GP team to deliver high-quality patient care across routine nursing duties, chronic disease clinics, immunisations, cervical screening, wound care, and health promotion, while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Primary Care/GP Practice.
• Experience with chronic disease management and routine practice nurse duties.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Delivering routine nursing care within a GP Practice setting.
• Running chronic disease management clinics (e.g., asthma, diabetes, COPD).
• Administering immunisations and vaccinations.
• Cervical screening (smears).
• Wound care and dressings.
• Health promotion and patient education.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and adhering to clinical protocols.
