Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant for flexible treatment room sessions across primary care services in Warlingham. This role suits HCAs who can provide hands-on clinical support to nursing and other clinicians in GP clinics.

You will perform routine observations, wound care and dressings, ECGs and phlebotomy if trained, update digital patient records, and help maintain a clean, safe treatment room while supporting teams and patient flow.

Qualifications

• Previous HCA experience in primary care or NHS settings.
• Confident performing routine clinical observations.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different clinic environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine clinical observations (BP, pulse, temperature).
• Support treatment room procedures such as wound care and dressings.
• Perform ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy if trained.
• Update digital patient records in line with service protocols.
• Support clinicians with general duties where needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
