Locum Ready is seeking a Locum General Practitioner to work with a GP practice in Scunthorpe. You will handle a varied caseload, deliver high-quality patient assessments, and provide continuity as required, with strong admin support and defined daily workflows.

The role offers ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions, full- or half-day bookings, and potential for long-term arrangements, in a supportive primary care environment.

Qualifications

• Must have GMC-registered GP status with current license to practice in the UK.
• Active inclusion on the NHS Performers List.
• Recent UK primary care experience.
• Demonstrated clinical decision-making and strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with EMIS or SystmOne or similar systems.
• Hold valid indemnity.

Responsibilities

• Run routine and urgent GP clinics.
• Manage acute presentations and complex cases.
• Provide telephone consultations and triage.
• Review investigations, results and medication queries.
• Prescribe safely and appropriately.
• Document consultations clearly in the clinical system.
• Support the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks.
