Job summary

Locum Ready seeks an experienced General Practice Nurse for flexible regional clinic sessions across Halesworth. You will work within well-supported GP environments, managing routine primary care nursing activity with autonomy and consistency.

You will support local clinical teams with essential nursing duties, chronic disease activity and day-to-day treatment room procedures, following clear protocols to ensure safe patient care.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience
• Immunisation and cytology training desirable
• Strong treatment room competency
• Independent working in GP settings
• Familiarity with EMIS Web or SystmOne
• Enhanced DBS required

Responsibilities

• Delivering treatment room procedures including wound care and dressings
• Supporting chronic disease reviews in line with local care plans
• Administering adult and childhood immunisations (if trained)
• Performing smear tests where cytology-trained
• Conducting NHS Health Checks and routine assessments
• Maintaining accurate digital clinical notes
• Supporting general nursing duties as required by the clinic
