Job summary

The Victory Primary School in Sunderland is seeking a Teaching Assistant with strong communication and numeracy skills to support pupils across the Inclusion Centre and the wider school. You will work under teachers’ guidance to deliver targeted interventions and promote an inclusive learning atmosphere.

You will help a diverse range of learners, including those with SEND and EAL, enabling access to learning while fostering confidence and resilience.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children with complex learning needs and challenging behaviour.
• Ability to provide tailored individual and small-group support.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across the Inclusion Centre and wider school under teacher guidance.
• Provide targeted intervention, guidance and appropriate challenge to help students reach their potential.
• Contribute to maintaining a calm, focused learning environment and support effective behaviour management.
