Job summary

Chelmsford Star Co-op Mansfield is recruiting for customer-focused colleagues to join our friendly store team.

You will support daily operations across checkouts, shop floor, housekeeping, date code checks, temperature checks, administration, and the in-store bakery, while promoting membership and helping customers.

No prior experience required; a warm, enthusiastic manner and willingness to learn are valued. Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and a supportive, community-minded team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with checkouts and cash handling.
• Support the shop floor with stock, pricing, and cleanliness.
• Carry out housekeeping tasks and date code checks.
• Perform temperature checks and simple administrative duties.
• Assist with in-store bakery duties when required.
• Promote membership and explain benefits to customers.
