Job summary

Manpower (United Kingdom) is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for our Loughborough site. The role involves packing chemicals, operating filling machines and labellers, and following safety instructions.

The position offers Monday to Friday shifts 08:00–16:00 with training to Technician II within 12 months. You will maintain quality records, carry out routine inspections, and move between departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow schedules and packaging requirements.
• Operate filling, labelling and packing equipment (manual and automatic).
• Fill packaging materials and container sizes on different equipment.
• Use measuring and weighing equipment.
• Weigh, measure and check raw materials for correct batch contents.
• Ensure batch numbers match labels and product containers.
• Palletize and secure packs for warehouse transfer.
• Follow safety practices and complete daily safety checks.
• Comply with COSHH and waste handling procedures.
• Maintain quality records and perform routine quality checks.
• Carry out regular equipment maintenance for safety and efficiency.
• Be prepared to move between departments within the company.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping on each shift.
• Participate in department improvement initiatives.
