Job summary

Horizons Homecare Ltd. in Lancaster is seeking Homecare Assistants to provide in-home support with personal care, meal prep and companionship. The role offers flexible part-time hours and a rota that can include evenings and weekends, with the same pay, training and support as full-time staff.

You will be paid £14.50 to £16 per hour, plus mileage at 35p per mile. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are advantageous. DBS check and English skills are required.

Qualifications

• Care experience is welcome but not essential; full training provided.
• Full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle (mileage paid)
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check
• Good spoken and written English to follow care plans and keep records
• Flexibility to work some mornings, evenings and alternate weekends

Responsibilities

• Support clients with personal care, washing, dressing and continence care.
• Help with medication, meal preparation, mobility and home safety.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Follow each client's care plan and record notes after visits.
• Spot changes in health or wellbeing and flag them to the office.
