Job summary

Pure Staff Ltd is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for a temporary ongoing role based in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, with Newport operations nearby. Expect trunking runs using curtain-side and double-Decker trailers, delivering palletised freight across depots and hubs.

Shifts run Monday to Sunday with early or late starts, averaging around 10 hours per shift. Offers include direct PAYE employment, regular pay, and options for rolled-up holiday pay for eligible drivers.

Qualifications

• UK Category C+E Licence is required.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Driver CPC Card required.
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (12 months preferred).
• No more than 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Drive trunking runs between depots and distribution hubs.
• Operate day and night shifts with early and late starts.
• Comply with driver hours, tachograph regulations and vehicle safety checks.
