Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to provide flexible treatment room sessions across primary care services in Ulverston. You will support nursing and clinical teams with routine tasks and contribute to smooth patient flow in GP clinic environments.

Ideal candidates have HCA experience in NHS settings, confidence in routine observations, and enhanced DBS clearance; phlebotomy is desirable and strong communication is essential for patient interactions.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HCA in primary care or NHS settings.
• Confident performing routine clinical observations.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine clinical observations (BP, pulse, temperature).
• Support treatment room procedures (wound care, dressings).
• Perform ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy if trained.
• Update digital patient records per protocols.
• Support clinicians with general duties as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
