Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support regional GP clinics in and around Liversedge. The role covers routine clinical tasks, patient-facing procedures and general clinic support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

You will carry out observations, assist with clinical tasks, record information in systems, and help nursing teams maintain safe, efficient patient care. Flexible clinic shifts include weekdays, evenings or weekends across local sites.

Qualifications

• Healthcare Assistant experience in GP, community or NHS settings.
• Confident in routine patient observations.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to adapt to new clinics and workflows.
• Phlebotomy experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Conducting routine clinical observations.
• Supporting treatment room tasks and basic procedures.
• Performing ECGs and routine health checks.
• Assisting with phlebotomy where trained.
• Recording information accurately in clinical systems.
• Providing general assistance to nursing and clinical teams.
