Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a General Practice Nurse to support regional primary care services across Henlow. This role offers flexible, sessional work in established GP clinics, ideal for nurses delivering routine treatment room activity and supporting day-to-day clinical operations.

You will assist local primary care teams with general nursing duties, clinical reviews and patient-facing procedures in well-organised environments. Enhanced DBS clearance is required.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Strong treatment room competency.
• Excellent communication and patient interaction.
• Able to adapt quickly to new practice environments.
• Knowledge of common clinical systems preferred.
• Enhanced DBS clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine nursing support across GP clinic settings.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Administer routine immunisations and vaccinations (if trained).
• Conduct smear tests if cytology-trained.
• Support chronic disease management and care planning.
• Document clinical information accurately in digital systems.
