Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum General Practitioners to work in Sauchie, offering flexible sessional work across multiple primary care services.

These GP roles provide autonomy and variety, with consistent weekly availability and support from clinical teams to ensure safe, efficient care.

You will deliver urgent access appointments, routine reviews, telephone triage and clinical decision-making, with clear workflows and supportive colleagues across local practices.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered GP required.
• NHS Performers List inclusion required.
• Experience in GP, urgent care or community primary care settings.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments.
• Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills.
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Managing urgent and routine GP clinics across different primary care settings.
• Conducting telephone consultations and triage.
• Assessing acute, chronic and undifferentiated presentations.
• Prescribing within scope and handling medication queries.
• Reviewing results, referrals and follow-up actions.
• Recording accurate clinical notes in service-specific systems.
• Working collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams.
