Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a General Practice Nurse to support regional primary care services across Battle with flexible sessional work in established GP clinics. The role focuses on routine treatment room activity and daily clinical operations.

You will assist local primary care teams with general nursing duties, wound care and patient-facing procedures in well-organised environments, with DBS clearance and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NMC registration and primary care experience.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
• Ability to adapt to multiple GP clinic environments.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine nursing support across GP settings.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Administer routine immunisations and vaccinations if trained.
• Complete smear tests if cytology-trained.
• Support chronic disease management and care plan activity.
• Undertake NHS Health Checks as required.
• Document clinical information accurately in digital systems.
