Job summary

Chesterfield College invites applications for Variable Hours Invigilators to support examination operations across Chesterfield and Derby campuses and in selected workplaces. The role is hourly paid and primarily based on the Chesterfield campus, with travel as needed during peak exam periods in May and June.

You will ensure a calm, secure environment for candidates, handle both paper-based and online assessments, and travel to locations as required, with expenses reimbursed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer facing role, ideally from an examination environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle difficult situations.
• GCSE Maths and English Grade A*-C / 9-4 required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out invigilation mainly at Chesterfield College campus and occasionally at Derby campus or workplace settings.
• Provide a professional examination service, protecting exam integrity and a calm environment.
• Support paper-based and online examination processes.
• Travel to a variety of locations, with expenses reimbursed.
