Job summary

Step Teachers Ltd is seeking an Early Years Practitioner for flexible short-term and long-term opportunities in Enfield and surrounding areas. You will support children's learning through play-based activities and deliver the EYFS curriculum in a safe, caring environment.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, collaboration with nursery teams, and engagement with children to promote well-being and development.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Nurturing, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Support children’s learning through play-based activities.
• Assist with planning and delivering the EYFS curriculum.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
• Ensure a safe, clean and engaging environment for all children.
• Observe and record children’s progress and share insights with colleagues and parents.
• Support children with personal care routines when required.
• Work collaboratively with nursery staff to meet individual needs.
• Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
