Job summary

Ribbons & Reeves is recruiting Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Brent, with immediate start and flexible, short-term or long-term placements.

In this role you will supervise classes across KS3 and KS4, deliver pre-planned work, manage behaviour calmly and maintain a purposeful learning environment. DBS check on Update Service is essential, and previous youth work or tutoring experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential.
• Previous classroom, tutoring, coaching, mentoring or youth work experience preferred.
• Confident leading a classroom of secondary-aged pupils.
• Calm, firm and fair approach to behaviour management.
• Strong communication and organisation skills.
• Reliable, professional and adaptable.
• Must be available to work in Brent secondary schools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4 when teachers are absent.
• Deliver pre-planned work and keep pupils focused.
• Manage behaviour calmly and consistently.
• Maintain a purposeful classroom environment.
• Support pupils with routines, expectations and engagement.
• Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and senior leaders.
