Job summary

City in the Community in Manchester is seeking a Community Coach to deliver flexible coaching across a range of programmes for children, young people and communities. You will plan and run engaging, inclusive, and safe sessions and work with programme Officers to meet objectives.

You will build positive relationships with participants, schools and partners, monitor attendance and outcomes, and ensure safeguarding policies are embedded throughout your work. DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• NGB Level 2 Coaching qualification (in a relevant sport).
• Experience working with children or diverse community groups.
• Ability to plan and deliver high‑quality, inclusive coaching sessions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver flexible coaching across City in the Community programmes.
• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive and safe sessions with diverse participants.
• Monitor attendance and programme outcomes, and support safeguarding compliance.
• Build positive relationships with participants, schools and community partners.

Skills

NGB Level 2 Coaching qualification

Experience with children/young people

Experience planning and delivering fun

Strong communication and relationship‑

Full UK driving licence & own vehicle
