City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Cleaning Operative for a fixed-term post until 30 April 2026. Based at South Neighbourhood Office, you will deliver essential cleaning across a small group of buildings, supporting a safe and clean environment for staff and learners.

The role offers pro-rata pay for part-time hours (15 per week), flexible morning slots, and a strong benefits package including pension and enhanced annual leave.

Formación

• PVG Scheme required or update check and Overseas Criminal Record Check if applicable.
• Training and development will be provided; focus on meeting cleaning specifications.

Responsabilidades

• Empty litter and recycling bins.
• Clean all surfaces, internal glass, floors, furniture, fixtures and fittings within a group of buildings.
• Clean all sanitary areas, toilets and showers and replenish washroom consumables.
• Emergency and reactive cleaning as required (graffiti, spillages).
• Care for and clean equipment used in cleaning tasks.
• Deliver according to cleaning specifications and cooperate with performance measurement.
