Job summary

British Antarctic Survey (BAS) is seeking a Commercial Cleaner to support the Cambridge Estates team. The role involves maintaining a clean and hygienic environment, liaising with staff and visitors, and working Mon-Fri with no hybrid option.

The post is a fixed-term contract for 18 months with a salary of £25,842 to £26,186 per annum. Applicants should be prepared for security screening as required.

Responsibilities

• Empty bins and replace liners.
• Vacuum and sweep floors.
• Damp mop floors.
• Polishing.
• Clean sanitary areas and toilets.
• Dusting and glass cleaning.
• Waste recycling.
• Kitchenette cleaning and restocking hand towels/soap.
• Provide cover for sickness/holiday.
• Work within Health and Safety Policy.
• Other duties as directed by the manager.
