Flexible Cellar Door / Tours Work

in Wiston Estate, West Sussex

We are seeking an enthusiastic customer service professional to join our cellar door team on a temporary basis. This public facing position at Wiston Estate winery involves welcoming our guests and helping them with their purchases. You will also be expected to host our award-winning winery tours and tastings; some wine knowledge and being comfortable hosting large groups would be beneficial. Full training will be provided to aid you in this.

Based at the Wiston winery site near Washington, you will be joining a high-performing sales team with a passion for Wiston wine and the purpose, mission, and values of the estate. The cellar door is open Wednesday to Sunday with working hours from 9am to 5pm. Weekend availability is essential to this role, so please only enquire if you can be available to work at least one weekend day per week. Due to the rural location of the business, you will also require your own transport to attend work.

As stated above some wine knowledge would be beneficial, especially concerning traditional method sparkling wine processes. We do not require formal wine qualifications but an enthusiasm for the industry and knowledge of the English Wine industry would be preferential. A basic level of IT literacy is also necessary for this role.

This role would be on a zero-hour basis with at least one weekend shift per week available, and other midweek shifts as necessary. Given the seasonal nature of the work shifts may not be available during the quieter months of the year. There may also be the occasional opportunity to represent Wiston at some off-site events as required.
