Job summary
University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust in Stafford is seeking Pharmacy Technicians to join a flexible bank contract on Band 4. The role involves dispensing, IT system use (Ascribe, Omnicell, Prescription Tracking) and medicines optimisation across wards.
You will support and train staff while working as part of a dedicated hospital pharmacy team. Visa sponsorship is not available for Band 2–4 roles.
Qualifications
- Qualifications required as listed in the job posting.
- NVQ/BTEC or equivalent and GPhC registration are essential.
- ACT qualification or willingness to undertake is expected.
- Membership in professional bodies is advantageous.
- Experience in hospital pharmacy settings is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Dispensing controlled drugs using electronic registers from automated storage cabinets.
- Gaining experience in IT Systems including Ascribe, Omnicell cabinets and Prescription Tracking.
- Maintaining good stock control of medicines.
- Medicines optimisation on wards.
- Supporting and training staff.
