The Old Station Nursery Bridgetown is seeking a Bank Nursery Practitioner to join our team on a casual, zero-hours basis. You will cover shifts across the nursery, supporting children and staff as needed, and help create a warm, protective environment for young learners.

This flexible role offers opportunities to work mornings or afternoons, with shifts Monday–Friday and local travel to Bridgetown Pre-School. Prior Early Years experience is preferred, and DBS/UK work eligibility are required.

Formación

• Experience working in childcare or Early Years setting.
• Level 2/3 Early Years qualification desirable but not essential.
• DBS checks and right to work in the UK required.

Pay: £13.06 - £13.21 per Hour based on experience. Plus an additional 13.54% accrued holiday pay entitlement.

Hours: Flexible zero hours contract. Whether you’re looking for occasional shifts or more regular work, opportunities are available Monday–Friday between 8am–6pm depending on nursery needs.

Where You'll Be Working

Bridgetown pre-school provides a spacious and welcoming environment enriched with natural resources for children to explore freely throughout the day. Our children enjoy the freedom to move between indoor and outdoor spaces including our on site Forest School area, with a pond and camp fire facilities. At Bridgetown Pre-School we to get out and explore. From wildlife walks to going to meet the Stratford-Upon-Avon Fire Station and Police Department, we like to be busy and active in the community. We also hold yearly events, such as our sports day, fete and on occasion hold cake sales for local charities. Conveniently situated on Byron Road, within the grounds of Bridgetown Primary School and just a short stroll from the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon. Ample parking is available along the road outside the school.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our Bank Nursery Team, you’ll support children and colleagues across the nursery as and when needed -whether that’s covering holidays, supporting during busy periods, or helping provide consistency for children when teams need extra support.

No two days are ever quite the same -and that’s part of the joy.

One moment you could be building dens outdoors and the next you’ll be helping bring story time to life.

You’ll support children through play, creativity, curiosity, and connection while helping create a safe, nurturing environment where they feel happy, valued, and confident to explore.

What We’re Looking For

Experience working in a childcare or Early Years setting, a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential.

We’re looking for people with big hearts, curious minds, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s growth and development.
