Job summary

Cygnet Group is seeking a Bank Kitchen Assistant at Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton to help provide balanced, appetising meals and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment on a flexible shift basis.

The role involves basic food prep, dish washing, stock control, and adherence to COSHH and hygiene standards. DBS checks are required for successful candidates, with opportunities to work around your availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, preferably in a care setting.
• Enthusiastic, keen to learn, and an active team member.
• Polite & professional with a positive attitude at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team in providing balanced, appetising meals.
• Perform basic food preparation and kitchen duties.
• Wash utensils and ensure items are stored properly.
• Sort, store and distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering.
• Maintain personal hygiene and keep the kitchen clean and hygienic.
• Handle and store kitchen equipment safely in line with procedures.
• Use chemicals in line with COSHH regulations.
